Sea of Thieves - NPCs Mocap

Here is my first time doing motion capture animations. I was lucky to have my first go while creating work for Lost Sands, Sea of Thieves' 4th Adventure. For this project I got to animate for Larinna, Merrick and the Servant of the Flame.

The Servant was an interesting challenge, without a face to emote with, a lot of the body movements from the original mocap was super useful in bringing this character to life.

Larrina and Merrick were great fun, I very much enjoyed adding their hand and face animations through keyframe while also cleaning up the original mocap data.

Serik's piece was particularly interesting as it was my final animation on Sea of Thieves. It was a emotional piece that was over a minute. Quite a challenge, not something I have done before. It was good fun and a great final send off for me on the project.
