During my work on Sea of Thieves Legend of the Veil, I had the pleasure to craft the animations for the Ancients. This included the main Ancient Priest and their followers.
My main prompt for these characters was 'Stoic' and from there I shot my reference and crafted the Ancient civilians. The main Priest was a lot of fun, amazing character design helped me work out a meaningful and proud performance for the character when he lights the brazier just before the battle and when he hands you the stone right after it. Protect the Veil!
The Ancient followers are some of my proudest work. I worked very closely with Ash Barnard and Luke Woods to create this new friendly AI type in the Haunted Islands part of Legend of the Veil. I wanted them to be powerful and imposing in their movements.
These characters were amazing fun and I am very proud to have worked on them with Rare.
